Common sense of kendo maintenance:
The sword generally consists of three parts: the blade body, the scabbard and the accessories. The main body and blade are mostly iron, steel and copper. The sheath is made of wood. In order to avoid rusting, it should not be stored in a humid place, nor should it be in contact with sour and salty substances. Hands should also be avoided to prevent the surface from being corroded by sweat.
